Acceptable Use Policy

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules for using GreeksData accounts, API keys, request credits, account tools, and market data API access.

You are responsible for using GreeksData lawfully, securely, and in a way that does not harm the service, other users, or third-party systems.

Authorized Access

You may access GreeksData only through your own account, your own authorized API keys, and the interfaces or API endpoints made available to you.

You may not access accounts, API keys, credit balances, logs, payment records, or data that you are not authorized to access.

API Key Security

You are responsible for keeping API keys confidential and for all activity performed using your account or API keys.

Do not publish API keys, embed them in public code, share them with unauthorized parties, or use them in environments where they can be exposed.

If you believe an API key has been exposed or misused, rotate or revoke the key promptly and contact support if needed.

Prohibited Activity

• Illegal activity, fraud, deception, payment abuse, or attempts to avoid payment obligations.
• Attempts to bypass rate limits, request accounting, authentication, authorization, or technical restrictions.
• Credential theft, phishing, unauthorized security testing, vulnerability exploitation, or account takeover attempts.
• Service disruption, excessive automated traffic, denial-of-service activity, malware, spam, or abusive automation.
• Reverse engineering, scraping, copying, or extraction that violates law, third-party rights, service protections, or applicable data restrictions.
• Using GreeksData in a way that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.

Market Data Use

Market data may come from or depend on third-party sources. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of any market data complies with applicable law, agreements, exchange rules, vendor terms, and professional obligations that apply to you.

GreeksData does not grant exchange licenses, broker permissions, data redistribution rights, or rights to resell data unless those rights are provided in a separate written agreement.

Automated Use

Automated API use must stay within the limits and access patterns assigned to your account. You may not intentionally create traffic patterns designed to degrade service quality or avoid request accounting.

You are responsible for validating responses, handling errors, retrying responsibly, and designing your systems so that failures or delays do not create unreasonable load or risk.

Trading and Financial Use

GreeksData is not a broker, investment adviser, exchange, or trading execution venue. You may not represent GreeksData as providing investment advice, brokerage services, execution services, or a guarantee of trading results.

You are responsible for all decisions, trades, orders, risk controls, compliance checks, and losses connected to your use of GreeksData.

Investigations and Enforcement

GreeksData may review account activity, API usage, payment records, request logs, support history, and security signals when investigating suspected misuse.

GreeksData may restrict, suspend, or terminate access, revoke API keys, reverse request credits connected to payment disputes or refunds, or take other reasonable action when needed to protect the service, users, payment integrity, or legal compliance.
