How GreeksData handles account, API, usage, payment, and support information.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how GreeksData collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit the website, create an account, use the API, purchase request packages, or contact us.
GreeksData is a market data API and related account portal. The information we process is used to operate the service, authenticate users and API requests, process payments, maintain security, provide support, and keep transaction and usage records.
Information We Collect
Account information may include your name, email address, password hash, account role, account status, email verification timestamps, password reset state, purchase bonus fields, last login timestamp, and account creation/update timestamps.
We do not store your plaintext password. Passwords are processed so that the service can authenticate your account without keeping the original password text.
We may collect authentication, session, security, and diagnostic information needed to keep accounts and API access working securely.
How We Use Information
- Create, verify, authenticate, secure, and manage user accounts.
- Provide API access, credit balances, rate limits, API key management, usage pages, request logs, and payment history.
- Process request package purchases and apply request credits after payment confirmation.
- Process refunds, chargebacks, reversals, support requests, account restrictions, and operational diagnostics.
- Send account, verification, password reset, payment, support, and service-related communications.
- Maintain security, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, enforce policies, and comply with applicable obligations.
API and Usage Data
GreeksData maintains API request and usage metadata for service operation, billing of request credits, diagnostics, support, security, and account visibility. This may include request timestamp, request identifier, HTTP method, endpoint code, requested asset, HTTP status, billable state, idempotent replay state, latency, and related usage counters.
Network, device, and request metadata such as IP address, forwarded IP information, and user agent may be collected for security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, support, and service operation.
Request logs are operational metadata about API access. They are not intended to record your trading decisions, portfolio positions, brokerage orders, or investment strategy.
API Key Information
The service maintains information necessary to authenticate and manage API credentials, such as key status, key prefix, timestamps, and credential-management records. Secret API keys are intended to be displayed only through the authorized creation or rotation flow.
You are responsible for protecting API keys and rotating or revoking them if they may have been exposed.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. GreeksData may store payment identifiers, package purchased, request quantities, bonus requests, amount, currency, payment status, checkout session identifiers, payment processor identifiers, timestamps, webhook records, and transaction metadata needed for payment history, reconciliation, refunds, disputes, audit, and service delivery.
GreeksData does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or full payment card credentials. Payment credentials are handled by the payment processor.
Cookies and Session Data
GreeksData uses essential cookies and session data for login, authentication, account sessions, CSRF protection, and security. GreeksData also offers optional Google Analytics on public website pages where the analytics component is enabled. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.
Third-party checkout pages may use their own cookies and similar technologies according to their own policies. GreeksData does not control those third-party cookies.
Website Analytics
GreeksData uses Google Analytics only for public website analytics, such as understanding public traffic, acquisition, interest in the product, and navigation on public pages such as the landing page, legal pages, and authentication pages. Google Analytics is not enabled in the authenticated customer product portal, administrator area, support area, or payment endpoints.
Google Analytics is optional. GreeksData does not load Google Analytics before the visitor chooses to allow analytics on a public page where the analytics component is present.
Analytics information may include pages viewed, approximate location derived from network information, device and browser information, referrer information, timestamps, and interaction signals generated by the analytics provider.
GreeksData does not intentionally send your password, full payment card details, API keys, request payloads, or private account credentials to Google Analytics.
Agreeing to the Terms of Service during registration is separate from analytics consent and does not enable Google Analytics.
Support Data
If you contact GreeksData through available support or contact channels, we may process your name, email address, contact information, message content, account identifiers, payment references, and information you voluntarily provide so we can respond and support your account.
Service Providers
Service providers may process information on our behalf for hosting, infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, analytics, security, diagnostics, and related operational services.
Payment processors and other third-party services may process information under their own terms and privacy policies when you interact with them directly, such as during checkout.
Security
GreeksData uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect accounts, sessions, API credentials, payment records, and service data. No internet service can be made completely risk-free, so you should also protect your password, email account, devices, and API keys.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, support audits, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may differ based on the type of data, account status, payment history, security needs, support needs, and applicable requirements.
International Processing
GreeksData and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data protection rules. When applicable, we use reasonable measures to protect information in connection with such processing.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other rights related to personal information.

Children
GreeksData is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly allow children under 18 to create accounts or use the service.
